Practicing Patience & Ease

We’re starting to get more color and warmth these early days of spring and I’m feelin’ as fresh as those Eastern cherry blossoms. Winter and I have a rocky relationship and I’m ready to say “ta ta for now, you cold betch.”

These past several months, I’ve been doing a whole ‘lotta internal work around

  • what being a business owner means (and what it doesn’t)

  • patience with growth and transitional phases

  • moving through my days with ease and tenderness

  • reigniting my creative passion

It’s much harder to retrieve and befriend those festering piece of yourself that seep through the cracks than it is to let them roll off your back, down into your subconscious abyss. And then in some cases, a solid kick in the britches puts you face-to-face with these “undesirables.”

Each spring brings its own set of challenges but with an energy of momentum, new life, and colorful excitement.

This 2023 springy spring, I’m taking a deep breath and getting to know and care for the parts that require more attention and consideration. I’m looking at: routines, habits that serve me, patterns that diminish me, stale expectations, stagnant energy, and opportunities that will follow from putting in this work.

May we all make it a priority to unite these sides of ourselves. Let’s leverage spring’s zest to our favor. I’ll leave you with a few prompts to get your mind going:

  • What have you been avoiding?

  • What are your daily routines? What needs to be phased out and what can be welcomed in?

  • When do you feel most like yourself?

  • What brings you the ultimate feeling of joy?
